Middle School Dean
Kathy Kortan is the Dean of Pinnacle Middle School (grades 6,7,& 8). She received her BA, MA, and Ed.S. degrees from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. She holds licensure in the state of Ohio to teach grades PreK through 3, serve as a Guidance Counselor for grades K-12, and serve as Principal for grades K-12. She retired from 30 years of service in Virginia Public Schools, and spent the last 6 as principal of a middle school. She started with Pinnacle Academy in December of 2007.
In keeping with the Pinnacle philosophy “See It/Dream It - Believe It - Achieve It”, her expectations are that all our students and teachers can be successful!

K-2 Dean
Sherry Noll is the Dean of Lower Elementary (grades Kindergarten-2). She has her BS from Kent State University and is currently working on her Masters in Administration at Ursuline College. Sherry has been with Pinnacle Academy since their doors opened in 2004, first as a Kindergarten teacher, then New Teacher Coach and now Dean. She is proud to be a member of the Pinnacle Academy Staff and has seen firsthand the growth Pinnacle has experienced over the last 5 years. Sherry truly believes all students can “See It-Dream It-Believe It and Achieve It”.

Dean of Intervention
Yolonda Naymick is the Dean of Intervention at Pinnacle Academy. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3), Reading Endorsement (K-12) and Psychology minor from Ohio University. She has taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and was a Reading Specialist. Her experience is in Cleveland and North Carolina. She strives for excellence from herself, our staff, and especially our students.
